\u00c0 19 ans, ma m\u00e8re m’a inform\u00e9e sur un programme d’\u00e9change interculturel pour apprendre l’espagnol au Costa Rica. Le rep\u00e9rage qu’elle a fait semblait plut\u00f4t cool ! Sans me poser de questions, j’ai rapidement saut\u00e9 dans son id\u00e9e initiale ! J’ai pris l’avion pour le Costa Rica dans le cadre d’un voyage solo semi-organis\u00e9 ! C’\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re fois que je voyageais seule. J’ai tellement aim\u00e9 mon s\u00e9jour d’un mois, qu’il s’est rapidement transform\u00e9 en un s\u00e9jour de deux mois. J’ai s\u00e9journ\u00e9 dans une famille locale qui parlait tr\u00e8s peu l’anglais. Je me suis vite rendu compte que je devais apprendre l’espagnol rapidement ! J’habitais sur la c\u00f4te du Pacifique et j’apprenais l’espagnol en matin\u00e9e \u00e0 l’\u00e9cole Intercultura<\/a>. J’avais 4 heures d’espagnol le matin et tous mes apr\u00e8s-midi \u00e9taient libres, ce qui me permettait d’explorer le Costa Rica \u00e0 ma mani\u00e8re ! Les cours d’espagnol se d\u00e9roulaient parfois \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur ; nous avions une vue sur l’oc\u00e9an Pacifique o\u00f9 nous pouvions parfois voir des singes dans les arbres ou des surfeurs prendre une vague ! <\/p>\n\n

J’ai ador\u00e9 rencontrer des gens du monde entier, qui \u00e9taient l\u00e0 comme moi, pour apprendre la langue ! Il y a quelque chose de sp\u00e9cial dans le fait de rencontrer des gens quand on voyage. J’ai nou\u00e9 des relations pr\u00e9cieuses tout au long de mon s\u00e9jour. Parfois, je passais du temps avec la famille locale qui m’h\u00e9bergeait,les accompagnais \u00e0 un match de football ou \u00e0 assister \u00e0 une f\u00eate locale. <\/p>\n\n

J’ai eu beau essayer d’apprendre l’espagnol sur les bancs d’\u00e9cole \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, je n’\u00e9tais pas tr\u00e8s dou\u00e9e et l’int\u00e9r\u00eat n’\u00e9tait pas au rdv. Mais cette immersion au Costa Rica a vraiment bien fonctionn\u00e9 pour moi. \u00c0 mon retour, j’ai pu trouver un emploi aupr\u00e8s d’une compagnie a\u00e9rienne mexicaine bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, o\u00f9 je travaillais comme agente service passagers \u00e0 servir la client\u00e8le en espagnol, en fran\u00e7ais et en anglais. C’est tellement agr\u00e9able et satisfaisant de pouvoir communiquer avec autrui dans plusieurs langues. <\/p>\n\n
